Solar Assisted Heat Pump FAQs

What is a Solar Assisted Heat Pump?

A Solar Assisted Heat Pump is a newly developed renewable technology that is designed specifically to heat water in a hot water tank.

How does it work?

The design of the system has an external solar collector, which can be mounted on a wall or a roof, and an internal heat pump and water tank combined.

What sizes does the system offer?

The solar assisted heat pump can be sized for differing hot water needs, and comes in a range of sizes, including 130, 200 and 300 litre capacities.

Solar Assisted Heat Pump FAQs: FAQ

What are the benefits of the solar assisted heat pump?

The design of the system makes for a very cost-effective and environmentally friendly heating solution. The system is designed to be very low noise and produces the same sound level as the refrigerator in your kitchen.

Where can the heat pump and tank unit be placed?

The combined heat pump and storage vessel is a replacement for an existing hot water cylinder and can occupy the same location as your old one.

Are there any other features?

It comes with a backup immersion heater, if required, and can utilise your existing immersion heater power supply for the entire unit, making for a simple installation process.

Solar Assisted Heat Pump FAQs: FAQ

Does the heat pump produce any CO2 emissions?

As with other renewable technologies, the system produces zero CO2 emissions.
